Privacy Policy
What Protocol collects through this website, why, and for how long. This is a short document because the site does very little.
This policy describes the website's current data practices. It will be updated before any material change to collection, processing, analytics, or third-party access takes effect.
01
What this covers
This policy describes how Protocol handles information collected through this website. It does not cover information handled inside a client engagement, which is governed by the agreement for that engagement.
02
What Protocol collects
Protocol collects only what a visitor chooses to send. There is no account system, no advertising network, and no cross-site tracking on this website.
When an inquiry is submitted through the contact form, Protocol receives the fields entered in it:
- First name and last name
- Email address, and a phone number if one is supplied
- Organization, if one is supplied
- Inquiry category and country
- The message written in the form
- Preferred contact method
03
Why it is collected
Inquiry details are used to respond to the inquiry and to conduct any conversation that follows from it. They are not added to the briefing list, are not sold, and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Protocol may share details with a professional adviser where doing so is necessary to respond properly, and only to the extent necessary.
04
The briefing list
If you submit an address to the Protocol Intelligence signup, that address is stored so briefings can be sent to it. Nothing else is collected with it — no name, no organization, and no record of which page the signup was made from.
The address is used to send Protocol Intelligence briefings and for nothing else. It is not used to market other services, is not sold, and is not combined with an inquiry submitted through the contact form. Every briefing carries a link that removes the address, and you may also ask for it to be removed through the contact form.
05
Who processes this information
Protocol uses Resend to deliver inquiries to its inbox and to hold the briefing list. Details submitted through this website therefore pass through, and in the case of the briefing list are stored by, that provider acting on Protocol's instructions rather than for its own purposes.
No other third party receives information collected through this website.
06
What Protocol asks you not to send
Do not include sensitive operational, personal, classified, controlled, or security-critical information in the contact form. It is ordinary web correspondence and Protocol makes no security claims about it.
A secure communication method can be established after initial contact, and should be used for anything of that nature.
07
How long it is kept
Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained while a response may still be useful and then deleted. Inquiries that lead to an engagement are retained under the terms of that engagement.
08
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no third-party advertising or social tracking scripts. Fonts are served from Protocol's own infrastructure rather than from a third-party font service.
If Protocol introduces analytics, this policy will be updated before it is enabled and the entry will say what is measured.
09
Your requests
You may ask what Protocol holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Requests are handled through the contact form or through whatever channel the conversation is already using, and Protocol will confirm in writing when a request is complete.
10
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the review date at the top of this page. Protocol does not publish a change log for a document this short.
